The use of this system allows for a reduction in roll angle (e.g., body roll angle during cornering), thereby improving steering stability and ride comfort on flat roads. In addition, the use of this system can generate damping and good tire adhesion through maximum stroke to improve driving performance on rough roads.
Most existing accumulators have complex structures and poor sealing, prone to leakage. Moreover, most existing accumulators use an airbag structure, which can lead to airbag rupture or slack after prolonged use, and replacing the airbag is also very inconvenient.
A metal accumulator is a hydraulic pneumatic accumulator with a bellows. It is a device for accumulating hydraulic oil based on the compressible characteristics of gas. It consists of an oil part and a gas part with a gas seal (metal bellows), and the oil around the bellows is connected to the oil circuit. When the pressure rises, the oil enters the accumulator, and the gas is compressed until the system pipe pressure no longer rises; when the pipe pressure drops, the compressed gas expands, pressing the oil into the circuit, thereby slowing down the drop in pipe pressure. Depending on the application, the fluid can be inside the bellows or outside between the bellows and the container, with the gas on the opposite side.
